Silver is a white lustrous metal valued for its decorative beauty. Together with gold and the platinum-group metals, silver is one of the so-called precious metals. Because of its comparative scarcity, brilliant white color, malleability and ductility, silver has long been used in the manufacture of coins, ornaments, and jewelry.

Fabrication is a handmade process. Shapes are hand sawn from sheets of metal, filed, sanded and then prepped for soldering. Forms are fashioned of various metals to serve as fixtures to hold the sawn shapes in place while they are being soldered together. Once soldered, again they are filed and sanded and ready for polishing, texturing and/or coloring.
Casting is a process where a mold is made from an original model, duplicates or multiple castings can be produced from that one original. The process can have a tendency to produce a pockmarked or pitted surface which creates a different look within itself, a little rougher, a little more Detroit.
*All brass and bronze and silver pieces can be clear coated to stabilize coloration.
