Approximately 30 years ago I fabricated this very small metal form, it was produced at the same time I was working on a series of similar but much larger steel sculptures. This was to serve as a scale model (maquette) in that series and/or it was going to be used as a jumping off point for a series of jewelry designs. I had painted it multiple times, always a different color, never to my satisfaction. Throughout the years it lay dormant, not long ago I had decided to strip it of all previous paint layers and start fresh. Then my wife Myrna saw it on my bench, she said “that would make a very intriguing” pendant. Well I thought she, having a background in fashion design must see something there so I’ll pick it up again and try work with it. I did just that, the results have generated not only the new collection of pendants that are featured on this site but countless compliments from men and women alike.
